By installing or using QRdex (“the app”) you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
1. What the app does
The app lets you scan QR codes and barcodes with your camera or from a photo, create QR codes (text, links, Wi-Fi, email, contact, phone and SMS), keep a local history, and save or share the codes you create.
2. Your licence
Umar Farooq grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app on your own devices. You may not copy, sell, rent or redistribute the app, or reverse engineer it except where the law allows.
3. Scan with care
A QR code can contain a link or other content created by anyone. We do not control or check what codes point to and are not responsible for websites, files, payments or other content you reach through a code. Check a web address before you open it, and do not enter passwords or payment details on a page you do not trust.
4. What you create
You are responsible for the content of the QR codes you create and for how you use and share them. You agree not to use the app to create codes that link to or contain unlawful, harmful, deceptive or infringing content, or to spread malware or scams.
5. Free service, no guarantee
The app is provided free, “as is” and “as available”. Scanning depends on lighting, camera quality and the condition of the code, so we cannot promise that every code will be read, or that every generated code will be readable by every scanner, or that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free.
6. Limit of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Umar Farooq is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for loss of data, arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
7. Privacy
How the app handles information is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
8. Changes
We may update the app or these terms from time to time. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms. The effective date above shows when they last changed.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
